decision making by Dr.Pia
1. Know What to Want
Talk to people and ask their point of views and recommendations. If you don't know what to study, contact schools, consult students, people with life experience and experts. Or if you don't know what to choose from a restaurant menu, ask the chef or waitress for recommendations.
2. Shift Your Focus
Let go of "this has to happen" and be curious of where the situation might lead you. Strangely so, right things usually come along with an open mind.
3. Let Your Mind Wander
Daydream and play with thoughts. When you don't pressure your mind to come up with most effective solution, your become more creative and confident decision maker.
4. Settle for Good Enough
Don't get up in anxiety over what might happen if you don't make the right choice. This is personally the most difficult one for me to carry through but I am practising very intensly. However, I can't predict the future and I can't tell what I would have missed or gained if I'd chosen differently. I have noticed that there are usually many "good enough" paths to choose from and so many unexpected possibilities across the way.
